I bought this bass quite recently, because I wanted a MM stingray sound and the ATK's sounded good to me. This bass did not disappoint me. Its got a whacking great [b]tripple-coil pickup[/b] at the bridge and a [b]jazz bass pickup[/b] at the neck, [b]active electronics[/b] with a [b]3-band eq[/b] and [b]5-way selector.[/b] The 401 can be set to sound like a Stingray (position 4 - boost bass and treble a little) and visually it looks like a mad cross between a rickenbacker (the bridge) and a Stringray (the pickup). The 401 also looks alot nicer that the regular, cheaper 301s as it doesnt have a pickguard, but a very beautiful sunburst-like finish. The bass is exactly as i expected, and more, but I just bought a Deluxe Fender p/j bass - and thats the one for me, so im thinning out the number of basses I own. My price is £250 including postage to mainland UK or £225 cash on collection. Paypal only for postage-sales.
