loudandclear Posted December 9, 2009 Share Posted December 9, 2009 I bought this off Ebay from Japan a few years ago and it has been my back up gigging bass for that time . It has actually been used very little by me although I have gigged with it a couple of times and it has always been great. It was bought from a reputable dealer as a late 70's Tokai - all original. It has a Jazz profile neck, sounds great - has a few nicks and small dings, one on the neck just below the first fret ( I have tried to photograph this ) but it is very smooth and not in a place that affects playing, there are also a couple of white patches (the rest of the body has aged to cream) where a transfer was on the bass at some point. All in all a great player and great sounding bass. Pricing is pretty difficult I find and i would welcome any input on this from those more in the know than me on this type of bass but I think about £275 plus delivery is pretty good??
