Wal Custom II ***SOLD***

I don't want to sell this bass, I haven't had it for that long but, for reasons I will soon be explaining in another topic, I can't afford to keep it and it's time to move it on...I'm sure it will make someone a very happy person, the tone of this bass and the playability are unbelievable!

So here we go:

Up for sale is my 1992 Wal Custom 5 strings.
Shedua facings, Mahogany Core, Indian Rosewood Fingerboard and Gold/Black hardware.
Comes in it's original hardcase and it's in mint condition.

Recently fully serviced by Paul Herman, including fret levelling, trimmed and smoothed the fret ends, shortened the p/u mounting screws and adjusted, drilled out and replace one of the bridge screws that was loose, glue a sliver of damage to the facing near the bridge, purely cosmetic and not noticeable.
Full setup and electronics checked... a very expensive job but worth every penny, now the bass plays like a dream!

Now with the pics:

A few clips of the bass here. It's a take on Jamiroquai's "Runaway"... I'm not good at recording and I put this recording together quickly so excuse the quality and the bum notes :)
Recorded direct into my computer through external sound card, no effects or EQ added, it's just some of the tones you can get out of this bass.

Price?
£3000 and it's yours. Not interested on any trades this time, sorry.

Yes, it's more money than I bought it for but, considering I had to travel 11 hours to collect it, travel again to take it to the Wal's workshop and the expensive but worth every penny job made by Paul Herman it's a price I consider to be fair.

Collection prefered but I'm also fine shipping the bass. I willt be at the buyers expense and risk although I'll pack the bass extremely well so it won't get damage in transit.

For those interested I'm based in Hove and you are more than welcome to come and try it out.
Suffering WWS for the past 3 months ( Wal Withdrawal Syndrome ) first time without a Wal in 30 yrs :)

Could you tell me the width of the neck at the nut and the 15th fret, say, and also the string spacing.

BB
BB here you have the info as per Wal's specs:

- Neck width at top nut: 47mm
- String spacing at top nut: 10mm
- String spacing at bridge: 18mm

I can tell you it's the most comfortable 5 string bass I've ever played, and that's been quite a few from very well known brands..It's very easy to play and balances perfectly.

I believe the string spacing on 5s is smaller...just less than 17mm. I believe the 18mm is for 4-strings.

Not sure but reading on this specs sheet it says 18mm for the 5 strings and 19mm for the 4's. This is at the bridge so it will be less as you move towards the neck.
