1. Hi mate and welcome, I used to work near Tamuff, in Atherstone...... Yeah, you go for it, stick them fingers up...... it's very true about simple basslines, sometimes they are the best (not always.... I know it depends on the music..... but they can be). Tell you what, thinking about it, I've been getting away with the simple stuff for years (well sort of....) And definitely have fun.... if you don't enjoy what you're doing, others probably won't as well. Nice looking bass, by the way. Mart
2. Welcome....... I love the video by the way, looks like you guys have a lot of fun. Mart.
3. Welcome Jack, What kind of music do you play? Covers or own music? Mart
4. Hello Jack and welcome. Do you play covers or is it your own music that you do? I've never used SWR gear, but it sounds like you can shift some air with the rig you've got. Mart
5. Fantastic stuff. Your music is a million miles away from what I do, but I absolutely love it. Well done to all concerned...... Mart.
6. Twice. Both in 1976 and using a pick. A dodgy Shaftesbury bridge the culprit. Not broken one since. Mart
7. Very good,,,,,,, so catchy mate........ I loved it. Put a smile on my face and a spring in my step. Mart
8.
Stevie, enjoy your plate! And welcome to the BA55 club. Trouble is, on this forum as elsewhere personal plates seem to send some people into paroxysms of anguish. I'm sure the majority will support your purchase so ignore the naysayers, go out and enjoy.
+1 By the way my Reg. is: BA55 FAN Mart
9. The best..... Peavey TNT 150 or Peavey Combo 300. During the the 90's I had one of each and linked them together, bleedin' awesome!! Mart
10. Ben, Well I bleedin' love it. Very catchy...... it's stuck in my head and it won't go away!! Great musicianship, sound, arrangement and a killer bass tone. Well done mate, Mart
11. Sounds great to me....... absolutely love your bass sound mate (I'm a massive fan of the SPB3 pickups - I've got some on a couple of my Precisions). Which Sansamp was it and what settings did you use? Mart
12. I really love this Lozz, it reminds me of so many great bands from the late seventies early eighties. Terrific stuff mate..... great sound. Love the bass sound! Mart
13. My opinion, for what it's worth (not really a Maiden fan, I play with a pick etc. etc.) It sounds good to me. Playing seems pretty spot on and if you're trying to achieve the Harris live sound, your close.... plenty of clankiness (wasn't the studio sound a bit more rounded.... compressed?) I take it that you are using big fat roundwound strings (preferably Rotosound SH signature). Nice one mate, Mart
14. I'll have a "P" please Bob. When it comes to gigs it's got to be a Precision, because I'm a big bloke with big paws (neck profile is better for me), plus a P Bass suits the kind of music I'm playing at the moment (Rock and Blues). Also being a pick player,IMHO, a Precision sounds better with a piece of plastic.... By the way, at home, I'll will mess about on a Jazz (as well as a Stingray) Mart
15.
i would rather watch my cat have a sh*t.
Is that on Channel 5? Mart
