1. Bump. I'm offering free delivery on this. Price is negotiable.
2.
Nice bass...courier costs will generally be around £15-20 if you use somebody like Interparcel.com. GLWTS
Thanks, that's cheaper than I expected. Jamie
3. For sale is my Schecter Custom 4 Bass with handmade custom neck by luthier Jon Shuker. If you haven’t heard of Shuker Guitars, visit his website to see his outstanding work. The neck was built by Jon around 10 years ago and the bass received a quick service from him in March of this year. The neck is a beautiful wenge laminate with a birdseye maple fretboard and flamed maple headstock to match the body. It features a carbon fibre truss rod, is in very good condition and plays very well. The bass keeps tune consistently over long periods of time and has always been well looked after and stored in the right conditions. It was upgraded with active EMG pickups to compliment the active pre-amp, The pickups previously belonged to professional bassist Steve Lawson, which I believe were originally used on his Pedulla bass. The pickups were installed by Jon Shuker. The body is mahogany with a walnet/flamed maple top. It also received a refinish at the same time the neck was being built. As you can see from the pictures, the body does have a few marks here and there. The neck is in perfect condition and the wood has been treated as per the luthier’s instructions. This is a fantastic looking, versatile and excellent sounding bass. It’s custom made neck makes it completely unique. The bass comes with a Ritter gig bag. I can post, but I'd have to check costs - It's been a while since I've sold a bass online. Please don’t hesitate to ask any questions you might have. I'm based in East London (Zone 2). 4. In the process of cutting down from 3.. One of those is a 4 string no-name jazz bass I bought for £5 which needs a setup and electrics fixing.. That will be hard to let go!

6. Bloomin 'eck! You've given me GAS. Very very nice bass! And I love the inlay If it has a wenge neck, it's my perfect bass.
7. Great second Newsletter! I enjoyed reading it And congratulations DrPepperUK! Get him gigging by the age of 4! I really like the idea of selling something and giving the profits straight to BC. I'll have a hunt around for things Maybe we could get some auctions going for other things? Like asking for signed CDs, etc. then auctioning them on here and the profit going to basschat?
8. Yeah, I slaved away working in Mcdonalds 4 shifts a week for 2 years while at college mon-fri. i'm working in administration for durham prison over the summer though. No mooching off parents here
9. Schecter custom body with Shuker clear refinish. Active EMGs used by Steve Lawson for years And a beautiful Shuker wenge neck, danish oiled, with a birdseye maple fretboard. I love it. I've been playing about 4 years and in that time I've always searched for the perfect bass for me and that is it. EDIT: It doesn't have those horrid blue strings anymore.. They were terrible strings.. I'll take some better pictures when I get some good light.
10. Glad you're ok and the op. went fine Ped! I'd watch out too.. They may have planted a bomb inside you while they were in there! If I were you, I'd replace those standard 1/4"s for some neutriks straight away! Maybe label them input and output too You don't want to do any damage! I personally would have requested a protools setup to be built into the spine
11. Hi all, so I've been getting into this band called Gym Class Heroes lately and I'm very very impressed by their bassist. He has such a tight lock with the (very talented) drummer and he's a bassist that's learned that silence is a note. (Well.. It's a rest!) Plays some nice, tasteful funk/hip hop kind of grooves which complements the music perfectly. One of my current favourite bass players in pop(ish) music at the moment. Worth a listen (just not in their single at the moment.. "Take a look at ma' girlfriend!" one..)
12. Thanks for that Ped! Great idea I also think it would be really cool if you could include some more stuff on members in it though. And maybe members could write articles for it? For example, "<member's band> have got a gig playing with the <insert great famous band>. Congrats, etc. then the details." Or maybe if a member wanted to write an article about bass bashes, etc. Or any interesting news about any members! Like if a member has just had a kid (or a new shuker - They're basically the same thing ) Maybe even new cds to check out or any news if say a bass manufacturer is releasing a new line. Just some random examples, but you get the idea.
13. Just me who read that as Bernard Matthews? "ehh? Doesn't he make turkey?!"
