  1. If for any reason Bassybert can't oblige I can easily sort technical drawings. Just incase you need a backup
  2. Not my normal setup but the I know the bassist in one of the other bands on the bill and he offered to share his cab for the show. Sounded amazing!
  3. 210 costs more than a Barefaced! ah well better keep saving for a Barefaced
  4. Love Timmy's set up, have to resist buying more SVT 2 Pros
  5. My BF Compact (and accompanying compact clone) is paired with an old ampeg ~3x as heavy! 😂
  6. Argh, don't need but if you were closer to Glasgow I would be biting your hand off. Debating if I can justify two more cabs and a 12hr round drive.
  7. For quite some time I ran a Markbass Tube 800 into a Barefaced Midget. I would imagine one of the newer Super Midgets with a 500W MB head would probably go a long way. I found my set up more than held its own for small gigs and coped well for onstage monitoring with PA support. Turned down it was nice for home practice and I could easily lift cab and head together to get them on and off stage. I have since moved to 2 1x15s and an Ampeg SVT 2 pro which is significantly harder to transport and not ideal for home practice 🤣
  8. Hey, I recognise that speaker cable! Was cool to see and hear one of these in person. Now to resist the purchase, certainly looked easier to lift than my SVT
  9. My band Void of Light are touring with fellow Scots Codespeaker next month. If you like Post Metal, Doom & Sludge along the lines of Cult of Luna, Neurosis, Isis and Russian Circles then this could be for you!
  10. Cheers! Further beefed it up with a original Compact in place of the Midget. The 2 15s carry some serious heft. Fits in well with my bands addiction to valves.
  11. If you're planning on using a Helix could you just run a small power amp? Something like the GSS Baby Sumo?
  12. Another vote for the Mini Vong, relatively easy build and the guy does a cracking set of instructions. Mine certainly serves me well
  13. Similar to S.P., I'd grab a second hand Corona Chorus if I were you. There is a specific Duff Toneprint on there
  14. I think I have fixed this. Filled the gaps (sorry Stevie, used PU before I saw your epoxy tip) but also when I opened it the wadding was quite loose. I tucked this back so I'm not sure if the noise was the leaks or the wadding somehow managing to touch the back of the cone. If the noise comes back I'll properly staple or bond the wadding to the side walls.
