  1. Hotone is a great head amp I’m just running into my powered monitors at the moment …. Really good.
  2. Tried the Ashdown thought it was tremendous but too loud. This will just be sitting in the studio for recording. Sounded great tho and looked great.

  4. Hi folks just wondered if anyone had opinions on this amp? Would only be for recording and will sit in our studio. I’m looking for something that can do cleanish but capable of an organic sounding overdrive (no gain knob so does it have to get loud to start breaking up?). One being sold locally which I’m interested in. Just for info I was looking at the new CTM 15 and the Ampeg PFT 20. (Gone from 0 amps to potentially 3 in the last two weeks 🥺!)
  5. Started using a new luthier recently and he takes a while but is really great! Old Stingray looking and sounding brilliant.

  7. The Poly Capo I believe, and it was a semitone below the low B so probably just a bit too low!
  8. Very informative replies to this, thanks for the input!
  9. Thanks, I thought the Elf looked great but I ended up picking up out a 2nd hand GK MB200 cheap, which is probably huge in comparison to the elf 😀
  10. Thanks for the info! As I say it’s kind of academic as I’ve just modified what play so there is no need to detune but it was just out of curiosity!
  11. Really an academic question but the other day, I was asked to tune down a semi tone for a section of a song. I was using 5er so potentially a semitone down from a low B. I’ve modified what I play so it’s fine but there was a wee bit of discussion about pedals etc and I was wondering if there is a pedal that can handle down tuning low notes? Played about with detuning on the Helix briefly and it was surprisingly good in the higher register but shit as it got lower!
  12. Korg Pitchblack excellent bomb proof tuner, surplus to requirements! Works perfectly has some marks etc but in good condition… no box! £24 posted! SOLD
  13. Wow knocked out by the Hotone just taking the headphone out into my powered monitors at the moment but really awesome!
