  2. Recently picked up a P bass from @Descendent which I’m having lots of fun with - it’s taking some adjustment as I’ve played active 5 string basses for years. Here’s a little clip I recorded earlier today 🙃 https://www.instagram.com/reel/CwaW2YKuTRw
  3. Bump for a killer bass - I have the same with a rosewood fingerboard. Phenomenal value compared to its rivals - I'm surprised I don't see more them being played.
  4. USA built 2001 Sterling (not to be confused with the Sterling sub-brand) in Blue Pearl with a bit of natural mojo/relicing to the finish, so not a mint example by any means but really nicely played in with a great feel - as a player I prefer this to a similar one I sold recently which was in much better condition cosmetically. Fitted with a fresh set of Rotosound round wounds. No case. Open for a cash sale or a trade with some 4 string and passive of a similar - ideally a P but maybe a J. What have you got? Thanks, Jon VIDEO-2023-05-30-11-20-33.mp4
  5. Thanks @lamp Just under 24 hours to go for anybody else that might be interested 🙂
  6. Heads up for anybody who is still interested - the bass is on eBay and has had a bid so I’ll let it run. You’ll still be dealing with a forum member and you might just get yourself a bargain on the asking price 😉 https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/166143435709
  7. Thanks guys. Looking at a couple of swap options but I'm still open to offers/ideas.
  8. Hi Ander, I see you have a trade pending but if that doesn't work out might you be interested in a Music Man Sterling (USA)? I'm on the look out for a P and this would suit my smaller hands... Jon
  9. Born on the 18th August 1999 we have a beautiful Sterling 4H bass - not to be confused with the Indonesian built 'Sterling by Music Man' sub-brand, this is a beautiful USA built instrument in great condition for its 24 years with a deep metallic lustre to the paint - just a few minor dings as shown. Neck and frets are all in great shape and it is currently slung with some pretty fresh medium gauge round wounds. Weighs in at a very manageable 3.53kg (7.8 lbs). Super easy to play with a slim jazz-bass style neck profile. Comes with a quality hard shell case. I would prefer a meet/collection due to the value of the bass but I am also happy to ship at the buyers cost/risk. I would possibly be interested in a swap deal with a decent P style bass - thinking a Japanese Fender or better. Any trial welcomed. Serial #F01450 Manufactured: August 18th, 1999 Build Code: 170-11-20-01-CS-CR Model: Sterling 4 H Color: Blue Pearl Neck: Maple Neck Rosewood Fretboard Pickguard: Black Pickguard Stl H Hardware: Chrome WhatsApp Video 2023-05-30 at 11.11.05.mp4
