I think you’ll be very happy. I run into either the hi or low gain input depending what I want to do - the hi gain giving more break up earlier on. And the EQ can be used to help as well - it’s subtle and not overbearing so pushing the bass for example will help load the valves without becoming mushy.

I had almost exactly that rig (CTM100 and VS212) and it was plenty for gigs, assuming they weren’t massive or you had PA support if they were.
Oh my, that is exactly the Lionel spec I would choose. If you ever want to move it on, please let me know. I suspect you will enjoy it for many years though!
I’m seeing @asingardenof in two weeks, and will be driving back down south to Surrey. Wrong side of the country but if it helps bring it closer to someone who can take it across then I’m happy to help
Just on the way home from a bloody marvellous Katy Hurt gig at the Fiddler’s Elbow in Camden. Was hot, was rocking, was great fun.
Roll on the two Northern dates in a fortnight. And hopefully many more as the summer gets into gear…
This is whispering sweet nothings in my ear. One VERY stupid question, the Shiftline website has loads of videos with IRs included; I presume that’s all separate and this doesn’t have IR capability like the Olympic?
