Just came across this on Gumtree. If its too good to be true it usually is! When I enquired, I got the identical response to another bass I spotted. That was a 1963 Jazz for £2200. These are obvious scams. The seller explains they have recently moved to Kirkwall, Orkney (pick the most remote place on the map), and asks for money transfer. There must be ways of finding out who these idiots are?

Shame. I like Wal basses.

just tell him your from orkney and can pick it up in person and wait for the email from him asking why your werent there and then you'll know if its fake or real!

Here's a tip, don't ever move to Orkney or any of the northern most reaches of the UK... nobody will ever believe you when you try to sell something

I tried to get an address from them, but communication ceases when you mention you want to actually see what you're buying!
