What can you expect to learn from 1-2-1 tutoring sessions?

  • Beginner to Intermediate practical Bass and Guitar tuition and Advanced techniques with the minimum formal 'classroom' work.
  • A solid understanding of the Bass and its role in multiple genres of music.
  • Structured and effective training, broken down in to easy bite-sized sections to digest easily, without being bombarded with too much information.
  • Choose what path you take! Want to be pushed to learn new techniques and styles? Or want to learn all your favourite songs and just have a professional to 'jam' with? It's up to you – I guarantee you'll still walk away happy having learned something new every visit.
  • A relaxed training environment to study in with as much tea (and maybe biscuits!) as you need.
  • A complete A-Z! - A living, breathing technical resource of Basses, Amplification and equipment, not to mention support and questions answered about all aspects of configuring band kit. I am a geek! – but a good one!

Thank you Rik! I appreciate feedback so that I can improve my lessons - this is great to read :)

I have a brand new studio now, so the teaching environment is even more comfortable and tailored for playing music!

Autumn and Winter sessions being booked up now!

Definitely book some sessions with Dan!

I’m not naturally musical but after some success on ‘guitar hero’ I decided to give a real bass a go; and you know what, it’s hard!

I tried a few teach yourself books and but they never really made much sense to me. A few sessions on with Dan and I am really getting to understand the bass, where the sounds come from, the theory behind it and how it all works in music; importantly, all at my pace. If only music had been like this at school!

Dan’s easy going teaching style works great for me, we have a laugh and I always leave with lots to study and a big fat enthusiasm injection. :) B)

A brilliant, enthusiastic and un-assuming chap who is always genuinely pleased at your achievements. I really can’t recommend him enough.

Had my first every bass lesson today and Dan took my bass lesson virginity!

He is a fantastic tutor and I am already looking forward to my next lesson. Such a friendly chap and a great tutor.

I don't do class room environments but Dans studio is such a relaxing environment, as is his teaching methods.

I would whole heartedly encourage beginners or seasoned pros to take up his services as the man is a genius!
