Dear Dave and others on this forum

Could you suggest some suitable reading for a layman like myself about electronics in general which would also cover how tubes work and what they do, I dont want to become an expert as such but I would like understand what the various bits of circuits do the signal.

Many thanks
Pete

I am not at home this week so I am doing this from memory - The Tube Book by Pitman has 100s of diagrams but not much info on how they work so a better one would be Dan Torries book which I can't remember the name of but you can get it from Torries in the UK. Ask for Barry and say I sent you, the number is in the magazines like guitarist or I will give you it next week. There is a web site which someone on here will know as I can't remember it.

Dave
