Massive PRO 17k Turbosound and powersoft PA.

Recommended Posts

This is a truly massive sounding, and fully pro rig.
4 x Turbosound TFL-760H
8 x Turbosound TSE-118
1 x Powersoft 7000
1 x Powersoft 5000
1 x Powersoft 3002
1 x Powersoft 2004
Also with brand new DBX Driverack 260 Digital EQ & Loudspeaker management system (Crossover)
and DBX Driverack "PA" Digital EQ & Management system. (Use both X-Overs to achieve 4 way stereo system)

Includes all the linking cables and Long speaker 4 way multicore,
and also a 24-4 way multicore (XLR boxes each end)
16u Flightcase with castors

All speakers are the original Turbosound drivers and have been checked and any faulty/scratchy ones replaced/reconed.
The idea was to use it for my band, but the band split after just 3 gigs, and my fallback plan was to hire it out (It could be made to pay for itself quite quickly that way, just check out the cost of a PA of this calibre to rent, however, I'm just too lazy)

Looking for an offer of about £8000 for the lot, and the loss I'm taking on this is staggering, but it's costing me just to keep it in storage, so it's gotta go. (used tse118's can sell on e-bay for up to £700 a pair and the amps alone (which toured Robbie Williams) would cost half the asking price
Even the cabling cost a couple of hundred quid.

I'm gonna keep the Allen and Heath desk, but apart from that, it's a complete, fully operational, tour ready PA for sale here...

I don't have any photos of my rig but here are some of what they look like.
these are TSE118 bottom end cabs...

The top-most cabs in this shot are the Floodlight TFL760's

This shot makes the Floodlights look small (1 each side of the ridiculously large horn) but they're really not. If you read this far it's also worth looking at the web page to see what they say about this rig (See halfway down the page)

All stored in the Sheffield/Rotherham area.

PM me if any of this is of interest to you.

I assume you're still selling it. You'll probably have better luck selling that gear to sound guys rather than musicians. If you don't get a bite here, try this specialist UK forum: http://forum.speakerplans.com/stuff-for-sale_forum3.html.

Yeah I wanted the bass chat forums to have first chance at it as I'm making a terrible loss, which might be someone elses gain. I reckon it's actually worth about 10k as parts. I've already had a few offers on parts of it from squatjuice forums, but really wanted to shift the whole thing in one go

However thanks for the info. I shall consider putting it on there.... or maybe evil-bay. :)

Don't tell anyone I said so, but the guys over there don't mind paying top whack for good second hand gear. You should get what it's worth. I'd aim a bit on the high side to start with, if I were you. Best of luck.

Oh man this is painfull...

I'm currently building my own rig. It's only at 3k so far. But my long term dream is to build it up to exactly what you have for sale here...

Trade for a Vauxhall Vivaro? It's the only thing i have that is worth that much... :)

ooooof Might be better to tell her you have an expensive mistress next time. (While secretly storing a mamoth PA.)
Get well soon!

 • 7 months later...

I never did sell it, but at the moment I have a few hire gigs with it so it's not really up for sale. Sorry. What sort of price were you looking to spend? I might still be convincable, but I'll just add that the prices being quoted on squatjuice were low enoug to make it not worth my while selling.

btw I did a Rush tribute band at Doncaster Civic Hall last week. it was the first outing for the gear and it sounded massive! This friday is for comedian Steve Womak. I can't imagine it being massive this week. lol
