Yeah it looks nice, it sounds nice too. I cant get on with the thick neck.

I am selling it if anyone is interested.

A series / parallel switch should fit in any Jazz, here's a couple of S-1 type threads about it...

Yup, +1 for using a Precision body with a Jazz neck!

Thats what I've done as I'm the same as you, love the sound but wasn't keen on the wider necks!

Funny thing is i can go from my Lakland 55-01 5 string to my Jazz and back with no problem but just cant get on with a P neck and i have tried a couple of different ones.
but I'd got it into my head that they sounded better/fatter/fuller...
They do - I swapped my MIJ P neck for a Jazz neck and the Precision now sounds a bit honkier and not as rumbly. The neck woods looked different - the fingerboard on the P neck was a lot lighter(cocoa colour) than the Jazz neck (almost black).
Jazz with S1 switch. Nice warm p bass style tone without the big neck. I heard they stopped making them now though.
Yeah, they have. There's still some old stock knocking about though. Played the new MIA on saturday and it just seems your getting less bass for more money.

+1 for a Jazz with an S1 though. Not quite as beefy as a P, but almost there.
