The run-up (what's the technical term?) is C major. Not what you might expect. Make your guitarist/keyboard player do it stacatto!

As far as i have been able to tell, the main riff is:

Starting on B flat - root, root, fifth, third, (root) root root. Then repeated again on F, then G, then back to B flat for the last time, thereafter adding a C # run on the end as Bremen said. The run at the end of the sequence is a quickly played C# major scale.

You have to know the song to get the timing right, as it obviously is not stated below in this simple interval thingy.

Riff
A:-------------5th----3rd-------------
E:-------R-R-----------------R-R--

We cover this tune in my reggae covers band..always goes down well although we drop in a bit of the Apache Indian version for good measure :) We just play C maj on the run bit-seems to work well, the other bits are as per that tab above more or less - there is an interesting break as well.

Great tune! :) always gets the crowd dancing... even if they do sing Vitalite!

If you play it in Bb then the run up should be on a Db major scale.

Heres a link to my old reggae bands version as I cant seem to manage to embed youtube videos :s
