Despite have a relatively responsible job, has yet to work out how to insert an avatar in his signature. Been playing bass for not far short of 30 years. Nearest brush with fame was his band appearing in a 'Top Ten Worst Band Names of All Time' poll in a Middlesex Poly student magazine in the mid-80's when playing with Lord Lucan and the Lookalikes back in Colchester, from whence he originally came. Lives in Chester with Wifey and works in Wrexham (hi, beerdragon!). Desperately tries to make up for singular failure to achieve any kind of attention through his (self-styled) bass playing virtuosity by participating in amateur acting. Just got back into playing around February, had my first ever audition last week and actually got the gig! Now have a bit of a GAS problem which should be cured in the next couple of weeks. Have been playing bass for about 13 years or so, and I currently own (and always will) a lovely Shuker Single Cut 5 String, which is far too good a bass to be in my possesion. I got a new Peavey BXP 6 weeks ago and I'm currently GASsing for a 51P RI... can't afford it so will probably have to relent and just get a new MIM P bass instead... then I'm planning to de-fret my Encore starter... Likes watching peregrine falcons from Yat rock and reading. Will write a book one day. Sober for 15 months now. Usually in two different counties. Learnt to play the guitar years ago (and still do in a covers band) and picked up the bass 2 years ago for [url="http://www.27brigade.com"]27brigade[/url] because I was "bored". Quality and quantity of bass gear now far outweighs guitar gear. Currently want a Les Paul, Sandberg Basic 4, Ric 4003, G&L L2000 but have run out of space and money (money mostly). When not thrusting parts of his body into other peoples aeroplanes, Mike can be found in a darkened room thinking of excuses why he isn't practicing his bass licks and rueing the day he got a real job. Others may find some other kind of metaphorical boat. The rest of us will have to swim. Sometimes the water will be rough, sometimes the water will be smooth, and not everyone will make it to land. Whilst you're in the water, why not take a look at what's around you- dive down, look at the reef, look at the fish. Maybe you will spend time trying to see a shark, only to get eaten. Maybe a jellyfish will sting you. You might even drown. No matter what happens, you will experience something that those who took the surfboards and boats will never. Luke Ward's music is one of the beautiful reefs that only a few people will chance across. His music is the brightly coloured fish that brush against your toes. His music is one of life's pleasures that most will overlook. Stop and look around you. Luke Ward is not really a cheesy metaphor, he is in fact a real life human who lives in a town called Windsor. He shares this town with a few interbred foreigners, and the Royal family. He started out playing covers in pubs and clubs several years ago, and proved so popular that he was able to introduce his own songs into his set. These were the songs that are yet to fling him into supernatural stardom… erm, I mean international stardom. Don't get me wrong - Denny is not a ghost. Although it has been rumoured that he likes to say 'woo-hoo, yoo-hoo' a lot. (Please check out the lyrics section in order to understand this amusing comment). He is also somewhat of a local celebrity, you can go anywhere in the local music scene, mention his name and be asked to leave. Plays for The Natalie long Band, and is currently trying to cobble together a Funk band so he can indulge in self gratification via his bass.
