Tait Posted November 16, 2007 Share Posted November 16, 2007 i doubt you'll get more versatile than the ibanez. i get great funky tones (i can't stand jazz, so i've not tried that one out) from my SR500, surely you can get better ones with the SR1005? I find them aesthetically wonderful, not sure how it affects the sound though ;-) Then again there's those of us who must simply have 'Fender' on the headstock. It's a lovely bass, ever thing is perfect, stays in tune so well, I've only tuned it like 5 times in a couple of months. The only problem is that it is fairly quiet, and isn't active.
