MBV divebomb on bass?

I'm not sure how many people here listen to My Bloody Valentine, but for those who do, has anyone tried Kevin Shields' guitar techniques on bass? How'd it work out? I'd like to eventually get a trem on my bass for this purpose, but I don't know if it'd be worth it...

I've never listened to My Bloody Valentine so I don't know about their guitarist's technique specifically but I do know that Les Claypool is a prominent bassist who does use a tremolo on his bass. Maybe check him out?

Yeah. I've heard Primus, but this dude does something specific that Les does not. Thanks though!
