Please tell me it was rubbish and I didn't miss anything... :(

It's all happening on 2nd and 3rd March, so there are still a few weeks to go. Would be lovely to see you there if you could make it?

I thought it was this weekend!

Mind you, I have trouble working out what day of the week it is half the time.

If I get a good result from last weeks job interview then I might just treat myself to a day out. :)

The BC "business cards" - are these the cards that come in the packaging when you buy a Polo shirt??

I value everybody's opinion...especially when it's the same as mine

I've had a look at the masterclass and live performance schedules on the LBGS's website, decided which ones I want to attend, and then come up with a few suggested meetup times, just for us all to have some sort of schedule to work with:

NB - edited post - these are the most recent times I've scheduled -

BC CORNER @ the LBGS (in the foyer, next to Bass Gear)

Saturday 2nd March
11:30am - 12:30pm
2 - 3pm
4:30 - 5:30pm

Sunday 3rd March
10 - 11am
2 - 3pm
4:30 - 5:30pm

Just a quick update to say that I'll have to re-work the meetup schedule for the Sunday, as David Ellefson has been added to the Live Stage performances on Sunday. I'll publish a revised schedule asap.

For reference the BassGear stand will be in the entrance hall area, I think Ernie Ball & Overwater will be in this area as well.

It's designated as a 'quiet' zone on both days so should be free from the potential slap-fest in the main hall :)

I'm minding the store this week as Phil is away visiting funky bass suppliers in the USA & I've uncovered some guest list options for both days of the show.

Details are on the big LBGS thread - post #183

OK - slightly revised meetup times. [I do hope the show isn't going to change its schedule now that there are only a few days to go!]

BC CORNER @ the LBGS (in the foyer, next to Bass Gear)

Saturday 2nd March
11:30am - 12:30pm
2 - 3pm
4:30 - 5:30pm

Sunday 3rd March
10 - 11am
2 - 3pm
4:30 - 5:30pm

While I'll make sure to be there at the exact start times for the meetup, we certainly don't have to disperse after exactly one hour, of course! If there are a lot of us, and we're having fun, and people keep coming, I'll stay at the BC table for as long as we like to be together.

I'll edit my previous post to delete the old meetup times, and post these on the other threads.

See you all there! \m/ :D \m/

On both days we'll have Jens Ritter available from 15:00 (directly after the BC times) if anyone wants to chat to him. It's not a big public speech or anything. He'll just be around for a natter with anyone who wants to ask him about his basses, design ethos, etc.

He's a lovely guy and just about the most enthusiastic builder you'll ever meet!

We'll also have Dave Swift around on both days too. I'll try to get his times to match the BC ones as well. Another great guy, full of stories and anecdotes from the zillions of gigs he's played on :)

Bummed that I can't go and meet all of you. Oh yeah, and the fact that Peter Hook is doing a presentation on Sunday.

(Like how I say that like I'm just down the street and there isn't a 16 hour flight involved? Details.)

I spent part of the afternoon setting up the BC corner together with the guys at Bass Gear. This is how our banner looks like, although the corner will be organised a little differently - Barrie texted me after I left, to say that we will be allowed to use some of the space to the right of the banner in the photo, after all, which is excellent news. There are also a few seats right in front of the Bass Gear stand. The cafe is also a few yards from the stand, out of shot to the left of this photo.

Thanks for everything bluejay and seashell. :)

Maybe every one there tomorrow ought to meet at the stand and have a group photo

Then again, if the significant others see what we have in our hands it might not be such a good idea :D

The BC Baton is at BC Corner, waiting to for someone to step forward and take it. Or if a London member wants to meet locally after and meet up and collect we can do that. Just BC PM or Facebook me.

I'm posting from the BC corner at the LGBS - we have already seen and given lanyards to aroud 30 members, talked to them, met them while we were walking around the stands gassing like mad, and now I'm sitting here waiting for the next meetup.

James and the BC Baton are here too, waiting for someone to come up and collect the bass for the BC Bass Rwlay! Come forward if you're around :)

I popped along for an hour or so yesterday, the noise levels were much better then last year which made walking about in the exhibitors area quite enjoyable, next year I'll plan better and attend at a time when there are Masterclasses or performances I want to see rather then fitting a brief visit to the show around the rest of my weekend schedule.

Random observations - great jobs being done by Bluejay on the BC stand, I still GAS after another Roscoe Bass, No Sterling 5 on the MM stand, Andy Baxter's stand could have made a grown man weep, Steve Lawson and Yolanda Charles are way taller and Dave Swift shorter then I imagined them to be, I should have asked Vanderkley about getting a cover for my 212MNT.

Enjoy yourself if you are going today.

Ah yes I did see that, I was meaning the 5 string version of the Sterling model rather then a SR5 made by Sterling if that makes sense? :)
