Up to now I could fit the CryBaby's feet between the bars of the Pedaltrain. Now I'll have to remove the feet and their screws are too long to go all the way inside the pedal without the feet, so they stick out half a centimeter or so... So what's the best/easiest/most common way of solving this? Are shorter screws common and easy to find for this? The Funk Posted June 21, 2007 Share Posted June 21, 2007 Yeah, I'd say just buy some shorter screws. We've got a good place near us called Clerkenwell Screws. You just turn up with the screws in your hand and they can immediately tell you what model they are. I reckon all specialist screw merchants (that sounds so wrong) would be able to help you out. Higgie Posted June 21, 2007 Share Posted June 21, 2007 (edited) I made a fandangled contraption involving some old computer floppy disks I wasn't using. If you tape two of them together, they create just enough clearance for the velcro to stick to the board unaffected by the feet. If you take another two disks and turn them sideways, you should, with a bit of maneuvering, be able to fit both sets of floppy disks in between the four feet, and then tape them to the pedal. I removed the bottom plate, wrapped velco around the disks, and then wrapped the velcro round the bottom plate, and screwed the plate back on. This locks the velcro between the plate and the pedal on both sides, meaning it can't go loose. Sounds like a lot of work, but it's actually a quick and easy fix, and works fantastically well. john_the_bass Posted July 17, 2007 Share Posted July 17, 2007 i've been looking at a way of attaching my crybaby to my board and have discovered that if i take the plastic bits out of the corner of my desk that you route the cables through, i can squeeze these in between all the feet and they're ever so slighty deeper than the feet - the velcro will attach to the plastic bits, but i just need to affix the plastic bits onto the base of the wah - probably will try the wrapping the velcro tape around the base plate option.
