Charla Posted February 27, 2013 Share Posted February 27, 2013 As you will gather, I'm looking for a Band as I'm at a `loose end' at the moment. My musical taste is eclectic, and my recent playing history covers the Blues, Soul and Funk area, but I'll have a go at anything. Not that age is important, but I'm 54, therefore no spring chicken. I have my own transport and a nice selection of basses and amps etc. I live 10 miles north of Newcastle upon Tyne, but travelling isn't a problem, as long as it's not too far! Thanks for looking. I'm still in the same Bands, but interest in playing seems to be waning what with the difficulties in getting Gigs these days and Band members retiring; it’s obviously an age thing! I’m a guitarist/singer, into loud guitar rock – Neil Young, Iggy, RATM, Radiohead, Happy Mondays, The Damned, The Pistols, Link Wray, and much more besides. My current band has recently lost its bassist and drummer leaving me and and another guitarist looking to start up something new. I’m 56, own PA, good gear and transport. Live in West Gateshead. Been playing in bands all my life and am looking for a band to gig once a week at best. Rock /punk/indie covers.
