God's teeth, what are you folks doing..? Unbelievable bouquet of over-top quality compositions and executions here..! Is it something in the water..? Is this a result of global warming..? How many 'Mozarts' are there out there, lurking behind this thin veneer of a forum..? Get yourselves together and put out that album (yes, every month, it seems..!) and show the world (and further..?), that good, modern music is not dead. Fantastic offerings here; don't miss a beat, folks, listen up and enjoy..! Blimy, how jealous can one get, eh..?

I deliberately refrain from listening to anything here before the voting starts, so as to have the same freshness for all. This month, no exception, but what a collection..! Not a moments 'dross' in there, and an astounding variety around an audible common theme, which links back to the photos. It's almost as if you were colluding..!
Even more difficult (if that were possible...) than previous months. Choice there has to be, though, so choice there was...
Impossible, really, but as this is a bass forum, I finally plumped for the multi-tracked bass composition, which displayed a richness and sophistication way above the ordinary domain of the instrument. I could churlishly criticise a couple of aspects of the mix, but would rather bow to the superb virtuoso evident here. There's not been a harder choice to make, as all the entries are wickedly good, so no 'special mention' individually; you are all 'special', it seems...
Bloody hell..! Where will this lead to..? A new form of artistic and artisan entertainment is born. Long live the BC Composition..!

Nearly finished listening and about to make a decision on what to vote for. There are some really nice tracks on here this months (appealing even to the likes of me, a non-jazzer).

I like camden Rob's entry especially. It's just got a great sound, but my mind is by no means made up yet :D

Loads of fantastic entries! But in the end, I went with the one I just liked the best. Skol, mate, your track was fantastically made, but just not exactly my kind of thing.

I don't think It's fair of me to single out a couple, because really, all of them were fantastically made, but Jazz just isn't my kind of thing. I had a bit of a toss up between a few of them at the end. Well done, everyone :)

Milty, no worries at all mate! Glad you thought mine was well made and good on you for being honest about it not being your thing :)

All that matters is that people listen and vote. And the more the merrier. I've yet to go through them all myself - I still have Garry's and Bob's to listen to - but I'm looking forward to that one evening this week...

Great work this month guys - I'll second various comments to the effect that it's so hard to choose a winner - all entries this month are of superior quality and very impressive.

Seriously well done... bring on next month's ASAP :)

Cheers

Mike

I started listening and thought "Wow this is going to be a tough choice this month"..... Then one track completely blew me away.

Don't get me wrong, I thought this month everyone's entries were outstanding, but one was just f*cking awesome!!!!

Cheers! :yarr:

I've still a couple of tracks to listen to, but I should get that done tonight. I agree, the quality of stuff that enters on here is pretty awesome (apart from me messing about on the bass through some effects for 5 mins). :)

Possibly? First time voter! Loved listening to all of the different tracks.

I found it extremely hard to vote, I thought I'd made my mind up but apparently not :P

Anyway SKOL unfortunately you were just pipped at the post but I wanted to compliment you on that horn line, it just blew me away!

I was thinking of entering these but it would just not be up to the same level as everyone elses!

All in all everyone did a great job but sadly I could only vote for one! :)

BIG thanks for voting Myke!

And don't let what other people are doing put you off from entering something yourself in future. The voting is just the tip of the iceberg... the real enjoyment to be had is in the process itself and learning tips and tricks from others along the way. "It's about the journey not the destination, man" ;)

Anyway, thanks again mate.

Paul
