Can whoever tapped up Laurence Cottle for the Herts Bash ask him? I know it was a bit off the cuff but what a great little talk and paying demo he done!

I'm trying to get out of a prior engagement to attend. Not sure anyone will be that interested in my gear though.
Everyone's very friendly and welcoming at events like these and that's the same for new players, very experienced players, people with loads of gear, people with hardly any gear, etc, etc..

Come along - you'll really enjoy it!

And can I suggest a workshop - no idea of it is a good idea but can someone explain how the actual Flip a multi-effect pedal can be programmed? I just got a one of those Zoom MS-608s and am clueless.
Sounds like a plan - anyone up for taking this on??

Just had a quick chat with Matamp, if I can gome down (in my Mate's van) I'll swing by the factory and grab a load of the demo stock for people to try if you guys want, they've got quite a few prototype cabs lying around and maybe just maybe I can sneak the proto hybrid out of there (no promises though)

Do people have to bring something to attend? I only have a Warwick Fortress Rockbass and a 50 watt Eden amp, so nothing of any interest. Oh, I am still learning as well, so can`t play anything

Out of curiosity, why do people refer to the plural of Status basses as Statii, when it should actually be Stati?
I've always wondered where the double i came from too. Especially given that the Latin singular status has the Latin plural status as it is a u-stem not an o-stem. Meanwhile, the English plural of status is statuses. Of course, the owners of Statuses can call their basses whatever they like.

I imagined they didn't mean to follow the Latin 5th declension (bo-ring!), but Stati would look a little less odd. Come to think of it, that's probably why they chose the weird version! We all noticed it now :D
Sorry, but it's fourth declension not fifth. Fifth declension are e-stems. :yarr:

I clearly can't remember my old grammar school days, which means I'd be left out of the door if the bash only admitted those familiar with Latin
