Met Dan today, didn't do any business, but nice to meet a top guy with a passion for vintage basses, and clearly an honest bloke, so worth a mention on here, and he knows a good bass when he see's (and plays) one!! Hope to see you again. Rick

Met up to try a few basses. We had had plenty of previous email conversations and he answered me honestly, fully, with knowledge and sensitivity, even when I asked dumb questions. It was therefore a real pleasure to finally meet up with this hospitable, knowledgeable and warm hearted guy.
One of the best.

Just bought a pickup from Daniel. He kindly soldered the wires for me and tested it prior to dispatch. During this time he was very communicative and kept me fully up to speed.

The pickup arrived quickly and very well packaged. Would be very happy to deal with him again.

Just bought a very lovely vintage Precision from Dan. A major purchase for me and I went round the houses a bit, viewed the bass and had lots of questions before finally buying. Dan was very responsive throughout, getting back to me quickly with answers and looking into things further when needed. Thanks for your patience Dan, and many thanks for a beautiful piece of Fender history! Ian

I recently bought a vintage Jbass from Daniel,

at that time I had just come out of hospital and was unable to collect, I wasn't keen on using couriers either, I told him of my dilemma and he actually went out of his way to personally deliver it

add to the mix that on that day I unexpectedly ended up in A&E and wasn't even home at the arranged time, fortunately my wife was and all ended well

so I found him to be honest, reliable and a thoroughly decent human being....Thanks Daniel you're a true star *

Things I have learnt today:

1. Daniel is a thoroughly nice chap.
2. He makes great coffee.
3. He has some simply stunning basses.
4. There isn't much he doesn't know about Fender basses and indeed bass guitars in general.
5. Blood doesn't come out of carpet very easily.
6. Don't trust Barclays banking app for the iPad (me trying to use it to pay).
7. Barclays telephone helpline is useless on a Sunday and probably every other day of the week for that matter (me taking half an hour to sort it out and failing).
8. Paying with the Halifax is a lot easier.
9. Daniel is very patient.
10. I unreservedly recommend Daniel in any aspect of this forum.

....and Mrs.Chiliwailer is lovely too.

....and very patient as well!

Not as many basses as I would like, but probably more than I deserve!

Bought a bass from Daniel today and I can safely say that he is very trustworthy, very knowledgeable, and a very very nice bloke to deal with.

Was asking him about a where I could get a spare pickguard for the bass but alas it had to be custom made so he ended up tracing one for me!

Highly recommended. Thanks Daniel! :)

The Gordy Blueshift was missing 1 strap-end of the Schaller strap locks so I put a note in " Items Wanted "

About an hour later Daniel messaged me saying he had the very thing, been lying at the back of the drawer
for 10 years waiting on me he thinks :)

When I mentioned the cost I was told don't be daft Santa's paying. Heartened by this display of goodwill to fellow
bass players I suggested charity donations and if he had a preference ?

" Any one will do " the Top Man replied so Macmillan nurses, Cat & Dogs and the local hospice all got double this year

What an absolute gem of a guy to deal with and he posted the strap lock out the next day.

Cheers Daniel

Bought an absolutely stunning CS '55 Precision from Dan. Can't sing his praises highly enough, firstly the bass is glorious in every way, I know it's a hell of a statement but it might just be the best Precision I've ever picked up (and I've owned a few), second, Dan went out of his way to make the whole thing as easy as possible, which required almost military planning and logistics, and quite late on a weekday evening. I could have probably spent a few hours chewing the fat about Fenders and Moduli, but time didn't allow it. I sincerely hope to have the opportunity to do so at some point in the future, I'm guessing that with our similar tastes in instruments, plus our not exactly low profiles on the FS forums here, it's almost inevitable that our paths will cross again anyway!

Cheers mate
