And are these block inlay decals any good? as I wasn't sure whether they would rub of and look really shabby with playing. Thanks in advance :)

To me, they looked and felt almost like the real thing. And for a fiver you can't go wrong if you like the look of blocks (which I do!). B)

I bought a set of dots for my little lads acoustic after reading this topic.

I ordered through EBay on 19th and the package arrived today. I think that is excellent service from him.

Can't grumble at that. :)

I've just ordered two sets of Jazz blocks, hopefully won't be too long then, sometimes orders from Japan take forever.

They do look good B) .

Is that black Yam the four string version of my BBG5S, awesome bass if it is, I need to sell mine as I don't use 5's anymore, I haven't played it in 3 or 4 years
Yup Sure is, S2 in fact, and the best bass in my stable, I love that thang, got it dirt cheap, cant put it down, lovely tone, just what I want.

The TRB 5 next to it comes close though. I think I just Love Yams

As promised before and after pics.
The blocks were pretty easy to install just follow the instructions that come with the blocks.
I slackened off the A & D strings and moved them out of the way so I could use the E & G as a guide for the blocks from fret 1 to 12
The blocks from 12 - 19 are a little trickier as they are smaller.
All in took around an hour to fit them
pretty pleased with the result

Smart! :) What are those pickups? They look like Roscoe Beck models...
Thanks I am pleased how they turned out
The pups are standard fender modern player pups
You can have them in humbucker mode or single coil with the rotary switch. Sound best in humbucker mode IMO but in single coil mode they really pump out some growly bass

I got mine from Jockomo81 today after seeing this thread last week. I used to use a geezer in the USA but he was a little flaky and also got his Roman Numerals wrong (told me he'd sold hundreds too )

Here are some pics, they look ace, really lovely! Easy to apply too.

That looks really good xilddx, headstock looks fab.

My blocks turned up this morning, that's been a week from Japan over New Year period, not bad at all.

I've now got to resist ordering loads of different inlays and pimping everything, less is more as they say :) .
