hamfist Posted November 20, 2013 Share Posted November 20, 2013 Just received one of these from Tom yesterday and rarely do I get quite so impressed by a piece of kit. This is quite simply a stunning overdrive/distortion pedal. It is so transparent (ie. no tonal changes to your bass sound), simply adds a great, natural drive. I didn't go for any of the extras that Tom can add, but the simple, basic pedal. All at a very reasonable price. I must have tried over 100 different drive pedals, maybe more, on bass over the years and none have been as transparent and simply as straightforwardly simple and perfect to use. So a well done to Tom from me. IMO, he has achieved what many, many highly funded pedal-makers over the years have failed to do. I thoroughly recommend the Knightfall. I've done Knightfalls with clean blends, variable Voice settings (the "Low" knob on the Knightfall 66), boosts pre or post distortion, two channels, 18v internal charge pump, to name a few. Al [/quote] Well yes and no. The DK is overall rather a higher gain pedal and rather more "modern". The KNightfall takes lower gain duties for me, and I'm getting a dedicated fuzz for the more extreme end of the gain spectrum. Anyway, as Matybigfro asked so nicely and I had a space this afternoon, here's a demo for you all.
