Andygt Posted December 15, 2013 Share Posted December 15, 2013 Hi. We are in need of a replacement bass player for our original material 'Alt' rock group. I'm not even sure if I know what Alt rock is but our primary influences are Soundgarden,Pearl Jam, Alice in Chains, stone temple pilots and many, many more varied artists which combine to make our own sound. We aren't really Genre specific and our songs range from mellow to occasionally up tempo and heavy. We are all late 30s -early 40s so ideally would be looking for someone aged 25-45 with own kit and transport. We have 11 songs written so far with many more in the pipeline. All present songs are played in drop D tuning and we often make use of unusual chord voicings to move away from incessant power chord/bar chord hammering. We ideally need someone who can provide a solid rhythm and colour the music with licks in the appropriate places. There is plenty of room for creativity in the songs we have written and we would certainly welcome it. We rehearse in Stroud,Glos, usually on Sundays but can do weekday evenings depending on band members commitments. Please message me if interested and I can get some samples of our stuff e mailed.
