Free Christmas Fake book

Hi All,

Happy Christmas to you all.

In my email today I got a link to a free PDF book from Musescore. It's free in the public domain, so I thought some here might like it. It's all on the treble clef, so it's good reading practice for those learning that one.

Edit: See the entry below from Stephen Cox; the author!

Musescore is a free program for writing scores, so you may like to try that too.
They also have a public store where you can search for scores by others.

Enjoy!

Hello,

The book you're referring to is one I put together, and I'm happy you've found it! A quick correction to your post, there are sheets for treble, bass clef, Bb and Eb instruments.

Also, the songs are all public domain songs, but the document is under a CC share alike non commercial license. Basically that means you can do anything you want other than sell the .pdf itself.

If you have any suggestions for improvement, email me through the website you downloaded the book from.

Thanks,
Stephen Cox

Good afternoon, Stephen, and welcome to the forum...

A topical Christmas present indeed..! Thanks for the time spent in putting this together, and extra thanks for making it so widely available this way. True Christmas spirit, indeed. 'Twill be very useful to many. I especially liked the slightly 'jazzed up' chords; a refreshing change. Those wishing to retain the more 'vanilla' chords should be able to work them out reasonably enough, I would hope.
Nice work, nicely presented. Well done, that man...
