USA Fender Deluxe Precision***SOLD***
£700

This is a US built Precision Deluxe. I think the serial dates it to 2003. These are active with an 18V 2 battery output. There are controls for master vol, blend between the P type and (double) jazz type pickups, bass/treble/boost as a stacked pot and a separate mid-range boost as well. The tonal possibilities are subsequently pretty wide within the Fender spectrum. The condition is very good, I've had it cleaned and last year spent a significant amount of money having it given a good going over by a local guitar tech and this included some mild levelling of frets. It played well before but now it's a brilliant player, probably the best neck on the 3 Fenders I have.
I was originally looking for a US precision in butterscotch blonde to match my jazz bass. There were few around so in the end I bought this via eBay about 2 years ago. However I subsequently found a passive P bass and it seems a bit unnecessary having a P, jazz and a bass with a combination of both.
Not desperate to sell but it is getting relatively little use (think I'm more of a passive bass guy) and deserves to be out there gigging more. Hence I'm looking for a sale only NO TRADES and I will not be reducing the price. It either goes for the listed price or I keep it. I will include the hard case that came with it (due to the slightly different body shape the normal moulded cases for a P bass don't really fit) which is a bit rough in places but perfectly serviceable and still has some of the original tags that came with the bass). I don't have details of weight or neck profile, can only say hat the neck doesn't feel as wide as my 2001 P bass and it is not as heavy as either the P bass or the 2003 jazz I have.

Feel free to PM me or add to this thread with any questions. I would prefer to hand over in person as a cash deal and would be prepared to meet up to a reasonable distance from Nottingham for normal travel costs. If I end up having to courier it somewhere then I will have to cost that up and include it as an added extra on the price.

And one final bumperini then I'll let this drift to the bottom of the pile. May have one buyer but no deffo deal done yet so technically still up for grabs. If still available I will take it to Midlands bass bash in May if anyone fancies a dabble.

Just checked the price of these new and Soundslive have the 2010 models (with only single rather than double jazz PU at the bridge) for a little over £1500, they list Fender's RRP at over two grand !

Sorry I was away on holiday when chuck posted his in the thread, I was just expecting any other interest to come via pm's. This is still available though I might put it out on loan ( well it is close to the start of the football season) if no 'transfer offers' come in soon. Yes I'm on the Derby side of Nottingham, Len :P

Yes still for sale, pm me for any other details you might need and I'll try to oblige but pretty much all info as I could muster is in the original post.If you wanted to just pop in and try it then decided it wasn't for you then no problem. Can't really drop price at this stage though, I think its fair for this instrument in this condition.
