Just had some brand spanking new P-Bass pick ups turn up, sold to me at a stupidly low price.

Well packed, quick delivery and great communication.

Now i just have to finish painting the bloody thing, seriously i have blisters on my hand from the amount of sanding i had to do.

Anyway not the point don't hesitate to buy from this guy.

[quote name='Clarky' post='375016' date='Jan 9 2009, 12:40 PM']Paul made the Simonon-alike white P bass for me over Christmas/NY. Its wonderfully put together (the copper shielding inside is second to none) and I am a happy bunny! Buy with confidence from this talented luthier

Glad you like it Clarky, looks lovely. I hope you're not planning any Simenon-like pranks with it :)

Bought the Gold P bass from Paul (Prosebass). This is the second Bass I have bought from Paul. Both play extremely well and sound superb.

Paul's a really great guy to deal with! And he makes excedingly good basses!

I am really surprised that no-one has bought the Lakland necked 5 String or the Gazzumper
( If I'd had the money I would have been on Prosebass number 3 ( the Lakland! Maybe another time! )

The basses still available are very different from one another:

The Lakland 5 string jazz bodied special has a really superb neck and devilishly low action. The tone is from quite bright, rounded and full to warm, mellow, deep and down right jazz. The Bartolini pickups really are good. IT'S ALMOST TOO EASY TO PLAY. (the neck is a peach!) Controls are TONE and VOLUME, there is a switch to select if you want both or just the bridge pickup selected. Simple but darned effective and elegant.

The Gazzumper is an animal all on it's own. Great tonal range. Extremely comfortable to play sitting down ( that's the whole idea of it's unconventional shape ). The tone is quite punchy but resonant and deep at the same time. Overall sound can be from bright and punchy to full and quite rounded. The humbuckers do a cracking job and the coil taps just add and add to the range of sound you can get out of the bass. The body shape and horns are a SUPERB PIECE OF ERGONOMIC DESIGN.

BOTH ARE GOOD LOOKING BEASTIES AS WELL! :)

SHAMELESS PLUGGING I KNOW, BUT WHAT THE HELL, THIS GUY DESERVES THE PUBLICITY!
