Specs look good...anyone tried it?

Might be a useful tool to have with decent HD type visual...?

I've had one for over a year now, very handy and still use it a lot.. The downside for me after using it for a while are that there is no line -in, only runs on batteries, which will last you about 2 hours on full HD settings.
Hard to see the back of the screen for levels or framing when you have it in a corner or pushed up against a wall for example. I'd highly recommend getting a little tripod or table stand to use with it.
I have been very happy with mine, it's good but not perfect.

Mine has no AC power connector socket, maybe it runs off USB power, never tried that.
Mine might be an older version.

Edit for a vid.. this is the one I have no external power as you can see, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OF_KhaQeZmo

Maybe that AC converts to the USB port then.

 • 2 weeks later...

And is there an alternative to batteries....?
can you run it from a socket in any shape or form?
I think that is the dealbreaker for me...

For that money I am looking for a powered video and audio device.
If the Video is upto to todays' phone cameras, ( i5 ) then that will be good enough.

This is a bit of a crappy test, but here's a recording from last night.

It's crappy 'cos the gig is totally acoustic, apart from my little Promethean combo, so it's very low volume. And there's very little light in the room.

But.. it'll give you an idea:
