Are there any black Alembics around?

There was a black Spoiler for sale on eBay a short while ago. Seriously tempted, as it was the same model of bass that Peter Steele from Type O Negative used for recording (he also used to use it live in the pre-Type O days). In his typically self-deprecating way he said he only used an Alembic because they're pretty much indestructible!

That's not what John Entwistle or Jason Newstead have said, at least on occasion! The latter using black ones too.

There has been an Alembic Persuader maybe thats what was meant.
Actually there are a few black alembics around.
I have one made in 2009 i think and FC spoiler does also.

I'm dam jealous Jazzyvee mind if I asked how much it cost you? A limb? There were Persuaders and spoilers, I thought Alembic had a Crusader model? Maybe not and could of been the Persuader I meant, not sure myself! XD

Recently I've been considering having mine it stripped back to the natural wood as it's all maple with a flame maple top under that back paint. I could then have it clear sprayed or a light tint to bring out the look of the grain depending on how it looks. Here is the build thread with the woods.
