It's part of the gamble of buying cheap pedals form the US. If it was 100% trouble free, everyone would be at it! molan Posted April 8, 2014 Share Posted April 8, 2014 I think USPS tracking basically stops once it hits the final airport destination in the USA. It doesn't pick up that it might already have hit the UK and got bogged down locally here. If there's duty to pay then Parcelforce will post you a confirmation and this can easily add a week or two to delivery time. For small items I've pretty much given up on USPS because it's got way too slow over the last year. A couple of years back, I bought a book from a dealer in lower Manhattan...it was being delivered to my hotel on 58th St (the hotel were going to keep it for me pending my arrival). I got proof of dispatch about a week before we left and it didn't reach the hotel until a couple of days after we were back in the UK. Well over two weeks to travel a mile or two. Staggering. If you are lucky it's gets on a plane within a few days and you might get it a week after payment, other times I've paid and waited over a month. This days I pay express shipping (if it's not ridiculous) and if it does arrive in the expected time I go to complaints and get a refund on the postage. Next thing I know I get a slip of paper through the door saying they have a parcel for me and that there are charges to pay.
