Guest Vaelthunder Posted April 15, 2014 Share Posted April 15, 2014 (edited) Hi everybody. I'm new here, and somehow new in the bass world. Been a guitar player for the past 8 years. A few months ago, after buying my first bass (Squier Vintage Modified Jazz Bass V) to track a few songs in my home studio, some friends were looking for a bass player to join their band and challenged me to take this roll. "Why not?!" Yeap... Wrong decision. That's how I got here. That's how I found a new reason to spend money that I don't have! But I'm happy with it. Still have a long way to go regarding basic technique, but I'll get there. Right now I'm looking to upgrade my gear - trying to let go one of my 7 string guitars (Ibanez Apex 2 w/ BKP Painkiller & DiMarzio EVO) to replace it for an EBMM Stingray 5. Let's see if it rolls. Regarding amplification, I'm playing through an Axe-FX Ultra. Glad to be part of this community! Cheers.
