ape Posted April 18, 2014 Share Posted April 18, 2014 Soo trying to decide on what to get bridge wise to replace the standard bridge on my Ibanez and thought it was worth asking peoples opinions here, anyone tried both? any pros or cons to both? I've had a Warwick bridge on a Warwick before but never tried the mono rail type ones. I like the look of the mono rail and they are far cheaper that the Warwick ones but not sure about adjustment etc on the mono rails. As always any feedback help would be appreciated. It is just a matter of drilling new holes for a Mono bridge so much simpler. Incidentally, I love the Warwick bridge but I cannot remember ever seeing one retrofit to a non-Warwick bass due to the routing involved. Any reason why you are only choosing between those two? [/quote] To be honest mainly on looks, I would like something separated rather than a big lump of metal like the original Ibanez, routing doesn't bother me in the slightest though and think the mono rails sink in as well so would need to route for those as well Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Kev Posted April 18, 2014 Share Posted April 18, 2014 They are really solid bridges, made of solid brass (2013 onwards) and adjust in every way imaginable very easily. Once you have the saddles set for the radius of the fingerboard, a couple bolts either side of the bridge control how deep into the body the bridge is, making it very simple to alter string height very quickly They also look really cool Best bridge I have used is the Voodoo bridge used on the top end Dingwall models, but of course that is a multiple scale length bridge Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
