[/quote] Most ad blockers work by stopping the computer from actually sending the request to the ad servers, and therefore the ads never even get requested let alone served. The dating ads must be the default ones, since I saw them too during my stint working on someone else's computer despite the fact that I had cleared all cookies, browsing history and other stored info from the browser before starting and only used the computer to view sites I needed for my work (mostly vet practices and image libraries), my email via it's web browser interface and on a few occasions Basschat. So if I understand correctly, the browser requests a page and downloads it, after which the browser interprets the page's code, and requests the ads that are mentioned. The links to the ads contain a portion that lets the adserver know what site or page this is from so the adserver knows which site to pay. That roughly right? So then BC gets no ad revenue at all when Adblock is on? That, in case, is logical and to be expected, but not good.
