I'll prob bring my David Gage DB
Musicman Stingray, and Ibanez Electroacoustic bass

Amp-wise, I'll bring my PJ head and one 4x5 speaker cab
Might poss bring my Markbass 210 combo too
If anyone wants to play about with one of those?

All assuming I can get all that in my car, of course ;)

EDIT: I'm not coming very far - so if someone wants me to bring anything else,
or I forget anything - it should be fine.....

A Stagg EUB you say, Marc! Shame I'm skint

I'll probably bring my barefaced SuperTwin, my Markbass amp, my Ibanez SR1000 and my defretted SR300.

I'm looking forward to hearing the barefaced Super Twin
and seeing both Ibanez basses - I do like them
.... and of course, it will be good to catch up again SpaceChick :)

Might bring my new fender rumble 100 and my warwick corvette active :-)

Had a Rumble 100 once
Nice combo - just a tad heavy for my ageing bod.....

Looking forward to the wide range of gear folk are bringing :)

No this is one of the new ones Marc... Unbelievably light

PS you look familiar. Were you sitting next to me at Joe Bonamassa? :-)
[/quote]

Haven't tried one of the newer series
Although heavy, my old Rumble 100 had a great sound
Loud too. So if the new ones are lighter and sound just as good - perfect :)

No, I wasn't at Joe Bonamassa
Perhaps I've got one of those "familiar faces"? ;)

Hope you're feeling better now SpaceChick?
Just wanted to say thanks again to Gelfin,
for setting this up

Can't wait for the next one now :)

PS. Who was the BC'er who owned that lovely Warwick, with the thin neck?

Hi Kert,

Yes, that bass was fab
Never played a Warwick quite like it before
I've been looking at them on ebay and on here since playing your bass

Did you say it was an anniversary bass, or some special model?

Marc

No its not a special edition or anything like that. Quite rare on the 2nd hand market though.

I think i may have mentioned that it was made in the time when they were hand built?

The quality of the builds seemed to drop in the 90's, just my opinion of course.

The build quality definitely seems to have improved again now though

All the ones I've seen since (and before yours, if my memory serves me)
were bolt on necks - whereas yours is a through neck
Can't find any pics of one like yours either....

As you say, that bass is a keeper
Like gelfin's Rickenbacker

Hi all

I'm thinking of doing the next bash late October or sometime in November.

Cooler weather and no school hols etc.

Last one was quite intimate and enjoyable but would like to meet a lot more BCers for the next one.

Give me some idea of what dates are good and I will see what's available at the venue.
