June Composition Challenge - GET RECORDING!

Got mine sorted... As it's a space picky I naturally thought of Star Trek, and I'd just watched "Night Terrors" from series 4 of Next Generation, where Deanna Troi has nightmares (her being in bed explains the sax!) and the rest of the crew go mad.
Enjoy, or not as the case may be!

so i got mine done, less of a composition as such, more a straight up song

it didn't end up anywhere near where i started, but it's not bad. i started with noises, but the apollo theme only came out when i had a brain wave and started sticking sound clips in

not pleased with the vocals personally, but then i never am and recorded them in my bedroom the day after download festival so...

with the guitar solo, i tried to get the vibe of it being played in space down comms... dunno if it worked tho.

Well..... Bugger me sideways. The standard is very high this month. Some great entries already. There is one composition that has the edge for me at the moment. Mine is getting worse by the day. I have a simple rule for writing music and songs and it is this 'if it doesn't come easy then it ain't worth it' and boy have I struggled this month. I trying too hard to not sound electronic yet still get a space theme across. I'm drowning. We will see what happens. How long more do we have left????

I was determined to have a go this month, I [star]ted an instrumental called "Are we there yet?" but it's decended into an 80's ish synth fest and after a really sh*tty day at work today I don't have the stomach to finish it/sort it..............next month, I hope! Good luck to everyone else though, really high standard :hi:

OK, I just got mine done! Phew.

Very much the sci-fi soundtrack route for me this month. I had in mind the opening credits of some space horror blockbuster, but just didn’t find the time this month to quite capture what I was imagining. But never mind.

PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS TRACK CONTAINS SWEARING!

There’s a smattering of F-bombs at the very need of the track (no spoilers). I know it’s neither big nor clever, but it is occasionally funny and made me chuckle when I discovered the sample. This and the other radio chatter is all copyright-free (non commercial); I’ll let you work out which bits are authentic NASA and which aren’t… it’s not difficult ;)

Anyway, here it is:

Feedback gratefully received, as always.

I’ll boot up the voting thread in a second…
