Hi folks,

I'm having a little bit of a bass clear out. This is my Dean Hillsboro Single bass. It's white with a tort pickguard, it's got what I think it quite a striking body shape that's different to usual body shapes that are out there. I really like it as you can see from my avatar pic! Damn, I'll have to change that when I sell this!

It's got a single humbucker, a 1.56 inch width at the nut (which Google says is 39.6mm). The neck is ultra slim and it really easy to play. I'm a big fan of slimline jazz necks and this fits that description. It weighs 9lbs.

Body is basswood, neck and fingerboard is maple. It's got a 2-band active EQ. It's currently strung with Ernie Ball Super Slinkys - 40-100 and is nice and bright sounding. I'm not a slapper but when I do feel the need then I pick up this bass as it suits that better than any of my others.

This was the bass I bought when I first got back into playing a few years ago and has stayed with me due to its looks and playability.

I'm looking for £180 for this plus delivery. Local collection is preferred but I have a box at work with some good packaging but I don't have a hardcase spare to post this in. I'm based in Bristol and anyone is welcome to pop round and have a play and a cuppa with absolutely no obligation to buy. I've got other basses to play with too and I'll chat about bass all evening :)

Payment by bank transfer (or cash if you're picking up in person). I don't use PayPal for taking money sorry. I'll give you full contact details (email, mobile, home address) when we agree to a sale before you send any money over.

I wouldn't mind looking at a nice light (has to be light!) jazz or p/j (jazz or p shaped) bass. Show me what you've got!

Thanks John :) I've always loved the look of this one, it's quite different to the norm. It's a nice player and I've toyed with the idea of putting a really nice pickup in there to give it a distinct sound but I'd rather have the money from this as I've got 5 basses and want a new mic, a new PC etc. etc.

One question .... where is it made?

I like the non traditional shape !!! I had a Korean Dean in the past and after a pickup change it was really great... only a bit heavy (It was a six string though). Can't make my mind up between this one and your Overwater .... its a pity I'll get back to the UK in September and I guess both will be gone by then.

Good luck with your sale.

More trade options: I wouldn't mind looking at a nice light (has to be light!) jazz or p/j (jazz or p shaped) bass. Show me what you've got! I don't really like 3 tone sunburst though I'm afraid.
