goblin Posted July 4, 2014 Share Posted July 4, 2014 As it says on the tin really. I'm selling a Peavey CS1000 power amp. It sounds fine, and powers up and I've gigged it a couple of times. The issue lies somewhere inside. It gets to a point where it gets warm, and one channel starts to lose volume and trips the thermal protection (hence the losing volume). It only does this whilst DDT is activated. However, when my amp tech turned DDT off, he said that hell started to break loose with sparks flying and such. From what he was saying, it could be something or nothing, but the amp ran my subs which I've since upgraded to an active sub, so I just want it out of the way. £50 from Rochdale, Lancs takes it. I used to have one yonks back in pre-sciatica days, pushed it with a Trace Elliot pre and ran a Peavey 410T from each side.
