Warwick ProFet 5.1 Master Crackle/Crapping Out/No Tuner?

Good Afternoon,

Yesterday I was playing a festival gig with my trusty Warwick ProFet 5.1 into my Warwick 410 cabinet which, up until now, has never failed me. It's had a bit of a crackle in the volume/gain pots, but I've given it a clean out and it's been fine.

The problem started as I was setting up and I wasn't getting a signal from the tuner out into my tuner - no biggie, I've got a spare, at this time I also noticed a buzzing coming from my cab, this has never happened before either.

The Techie took my DI signal out into the front house and this was working perfectly, but my cab (which as this was a big PA and was used for my monitoring purposes only) was crackling like I've never heard. In the heat of the gig the Techie is telling my my cab drivers had blown, which I couldn't believe, it's never been driven hard and is treated well.

I've just tried it out at home and the gain pot is working fine, the other circuitry is fine (EQ, compressor etc.) but whenever the 'Master Volume' is brought up the buzzing returns and the amp sounds like it's crapping out...

I guess I'm asking "what the hell do I do!? I'm booked every weekend for the summer and I need a fix"

Cheers guys!

Okay….

Weirdly, I've taken the top off of the head and had a scout -- nothing wrong, nothing loose, nothing out of place -- plugged it back into the cab and the horrible crackling sound has gone?

The buzzing is low level, but the show-stopping crackle has gone...

More investigation needed before the mystery is solved and Scooby snacks are given.
