Having a play with it tonight and I'm still not convinced it's set up or wired correctly as he differences between the changes are more a less unnoticeable tommy ears. Could it be a wiring issue I was definitely expecting more than I'm getting. Is it just meant to be super subtle! If anyone has a diagram of how it should be set up it would be appreciated.
