For sale. /[s]or trade for Fender Jazz (see description)[/s]
Price [s]£750,[/s] Price drop - Now [s]£700[/s] without the Stagg Hardcase
[s]Now £675 - Sale[/s]
EDIT: Now for sale only cash reduction for £625 as I have my eye on something else lol

[s]Trade value approx £700, with cash adjustment going either way (as appropriate)[/s]

I'm reluctant to sell this EB MM Stingray. It's a fab bass, probably the best sounding, best quality bass I've ever had.
But I've moved entirely towards Fender Jazz basses for the neck profile, so this aint getting played. In a rather unusual Trans red colour. - they all seemed to be in black, white, or wood finish when I was looking. This is the only red one I came across, and it's beautiful. If you see it, you'll want it!

Date from Musicman - October 1998
It's not mint, but it is In great condition, with one small chip on the edge, and a few minor scratches & dings - none really noticeable (I've tried to show these in the last few pics)

Also, I'd really prefer not to post this bass. I hate sending quality instruments through the post
I'm in Cardiff - I could travel or arrange to meet for trade...

Cheers

PS. I'm hating putting this stunning bass up for sale
But it's not getting the playing it so richly deserves :(

EDIT: I'm now open to trade for a Fender Jazz (pref MIA)
I've got GAS for a neck with block inlays - pref maple fretboard

Bump, and a price drop to £725
If you're interested in this bass - let me know
I can't believe this fabulous bass hasn't gone
So I'm considering a change of plans,
and may well sell one of my Fender Jazzes instead.....
Grab this one before I change my mind lol

EDIT: Now without the Stagg hardcase,
so a final price drop to £700

i'll save this for more erm shady operations later... ;)

Ooooh er - what "shady operation" have you in mind, Passifid? ;)

Bump for this bass sale / trade offer
I've a couple of options in the pipeline, and am weighing them up
- Just wondered if anyone else has a suitable Jazz (USA / Maybe Japan, with block inlays, poss maple)?

Or MM is still for sale
Currently @ £675 - but reasonable offers considered....

Cheers

No timmchale - you must occasionally give in to temptation ;)

Reduced to £650 temporarily - as there's a rather nice Jazz locally to me
and I'd really like it....
... unless you have a similar Jazz for trade?

If you do end up getting a maple board jazz, without blocks, Create Cuts in the states do superb quality stick on inlays.
Easy to do, cheap, can't feel them, they look great and leave no residue if you remove them.

Timmchale (above) bought a Lakkie Bob Glaub off me, that had their inserts on (not blocks, the same as on Yam Att Ltd fretboards).
I also put some white MOP effect ones on an Aerodyne board, they looked exceptional IMO.

It might just open up another possible trade for you.

Thanks for that karlfer,
I did actually think about this sometime back
Though I discounted the idea, as I thought the stick on inlay blocks would look too obviously "stuck-on"

It's good to know they're really good quality in that respect
I bought some stick on glow in the dark dots (as markers for the edge of a fretboard)
They were from the states, and not bad
but they do look as though they're stuck on, to my eye anyway
Also, they do have a tendency to come off, after a bit of handling....

I suppose the blocks would have better adhesion, having greater surface area though?

Worth a thought, certainly, cheers for that

Just to back up Karl on this one Marc, it looks very neat and you wouldn't notice they were stuck on, they don't peel either.

Spooky Tim, that's the aforementioned Glaub in your mitts, in your avatar, with the Sheehan style fretboard stick ons :)

Bump. I got the Jazz I wanted, but this MM is still for sale
I may now opt to trade for a Fender Precision - either something vintage / roadworn,
or poss with maple neck
What have you got? PM me....

EDIT: I seem to have returned to Fender! ;)

But bass still available for cash sale at £625

Replied - thanks
Can I also add, after playing the Limelight that FuNkShUi was recently selling,
I'm also on the lookout for a Limelight P bass

And I also meant to add, that a cash adjustment either way would be added too....
