I've decided to put my rather nice Martin DX1 electro acoustic up for sale.

This is Martin's "budget" line, although for Martin that still means that they retail at £539 in most places! Link to the current model at PMT here:

The full spec is on the link. The PMT one links to the current model - this one is the older model with the Fishman Classic 4 pre-amp. Personally I think this is nicer than the current model as you have a proper 3 band EQ (see the picture below).

The top is solid Sitka Spruce, and has a nice matt finish. The neck is the stratabond type which martin use on their cheaper models - this is a synthetic material but it actually feels really nice, and some claim it is more stable than wood. In any event, it plays fantastically.

The tone is classic Martin Dreadnought played acoustically, and the Fishman electronics make it very versatile plugged in.

I bought this brand new from Music Inn in Nottingham, and the only alteration is that I've added a strap button (see the last picture). Condition is A1.

I'm only selling as I have acquired a rather nice Gibson J45, and this is not getting any use.

I'm nervous of couriers at the best of times, but with an acoustic even more so. So I would prefer collection. I'm happy to meet up within an hour or so of Nottingham, and I'm also regularly in Manchester, Birmingham, Sheffield, and Leeds through work.
