It's my first gig back with my old band,Delta,after an almost two year absence! WARNING......corny old rock songs like Born to be wild,Breaking the law and Paranoid WILL be played ....along with the odd Tina Turner song and even a Bruno Mars track just to confuse you. Was only able to stay for the first set but managed to hear both the Tina Turner and Bruno Mars covers - both of which worked really well and fitted in perfectly alongside the more orthodox rock stuff. Hard to believe that this was the first gig in 2 years - the band was tight and Ray was a consummate showman as well as a rock solid player. After hearing him do his thing for an hour I am now also gassing for a Precision again, dammit! His MIJ P sounded sooooo smooth and fat through his Ampeg/Trace stack. A great evening!
