SOLD - Octave Mandola (aka Irish Bouzouki) Electro with gig bag
£145

Recommended Posts

If you are unfamiliar with folk instruments, this is an Octave Mandola or Irish Bouzouki. It is tuned G-D-A-E (low to high) one octave lower than a regular mandolin. The G and D strings are doubled one octave higher, the A and E strings doubled in unison. The overall range is therefore close to that of a guitar. If a 12-string guitar and a mandolin were to indulge in a night of passion, this instrument might be the result!

It is a FoolFish design, made by Hora in Romania. There is an onboard Artec 3-band pre-amp, with an end-pin jack output. It comes with a light duty gig bag, and I am also including a mandolin chord book.

It is still in excellent condition. I bought it a couple of years ago, intending to use it in my country band. However I never achieved much proficiency, as soon afterwards I underwent a major bass renaissance, thanks to this very forum!

I am looking for £145 shipped within the UK, obviously a bit less if you collect.
