bad back Posted October 10, 2014 Share Posted October 10, 2014 Sorry if this sounds obvious but I've never done it before . I just got a jackson bass of eBay from Germany and it's in 2 pieces ( as agreed ). Can I just screw the neck back on and away I go? Or will it need to be set up? EssentialTension Posted October 10, 2014 Share Posted October 10, 2014 I don't myself see the point of removing a neck unless you are trying to reduce dimensions of the package but I'd expect to setup a bass that's just arrived from Germany even if the neck hadn't been removed. Or at least to give it a once over to see if I was happy with the relief, action, intonation etc. You can certainly screw the neck back on, in fact you must screw the neck back on.
