Then next year they fill all our wishes even AT's 9 string Chapman stick,but they'll show their cruel side and release it in 2 parts as a 9 string bass and a stick. Seriously if they sell enough of the T-birds there's a chance for variations. Not looking for another 5 string but I'd be tempted by a white T-bird. Though who would buy my Epi sunburst T-bird then Just going to email Thomann now. I'll mention 5 string in white. A quick set up and it's fantastic, much better than my previous epi t birds, or the risible tokai I sent back. These HB's look great for the cash. I've rated everything of theirs that I've bought. Also, what a shame they didn't take the opportunity to move the jack socket to the edge of the body rather than the front. I like to tuck my lead in under the strap to help stop it popping out, and if the socket's on the front that means a big loop of lead getting in the way. I'm not going to write too much as I'm on my phone atm. Generally pleased but only got there with a serious truss rod kerfuffle and a shim in the neck pocket. [/quote] Probably a cheaper socket on the front. I have Neutrik right-angle jacks on some of my leads. No big loop, but it may catch on the TB tonepot. Works OK on Fender. HengistPod Posted October 21, 2014 Share Posted October 21, 2014 Aye, a right-angle jack helps. I just don't like to have too much nonsense going on that can get in my way. Socket on the side of the body keeps things clean and tidy. Probably it's cheaper to drill a hole in the front of the body whilst cutting the pickup bays, rather than have another router working on the side.
