On the Yamaha website they only seem to be producing one signature TRB, the John Patitucci 6 string.

And if you browse the online stores many of the other models say discounted.

Seems an awful shame if they have.

EDIT. They might still be doing a 1005j

I tried to get hold of a 1006j early last year and GAK said there was only one available in europe. I cancelled the order as it was going to take months but I think they did eventually get it in stock. Must have been the end of the line round about then...

Too bad, I love TRB's. I have owned two TRB5II's (one in Amber and one in Trans Blue), and both were fantastic basses and great value for money too. I liked the later TRB100x series too, same great feel and same electronics but different body woods (alder instead of ash, with a very pretty maple veneer top).

I've emailed Yamaha to ask if it is it for the TRB range.

I also checked the Yamaha US site and it's disappeared from there too.

It'll be interesting to see what they say.

I was only saying to someone the other day that I'd like to get a TRB next. 😕

It's a shame, love my TRB5PII and i wont let it go. I would love to find a TRB5P to add to my collection but they're hard to come by...

I also hope that they release new bass amps, after the BBT500H amp and cabs they haven't released nothing! I loved the PB1 preamp i used to have, only sold it because the F1X took its place. Also loved the sound of a B100II head, glorious!

TRB 5Pii is a hell of a bass for sure, how does it differ from the TRB5P?

PJ configuration:

TRB5PII:

TRB5P:

EDIT:

Appart from the PU difference it also looks a bit smaller on the body so it should be lighter... i think...
