Always wondered this myself. Recently got myself a Vanderkley 210mnt and was going to get a second. Slightly taller than my existing cabs and more volume, however I'm not sure if the 4x10 will be too loud. However, maybe I should just flight case the new cab and sit it on top of the case when gigging?

Careful with a Standback. I got one and it wouldn't work with a 1x12. A lot of Bass Cabs are too deep or not high enough and it won't tilt back. I did contact the people who make Standback and they were aware of the issue as it was designed primarily for Guitar Amps.

If you raise your cab off the floor too much, you will lose the bottom end lift you get from having the cab close to the floor. You might like to try tilting the front of the cab so that the speaker is pointing towards you. You'll hear yourself more clearly that way.
